Regarding COVID-19 and Resuming Public Programming

To say the unpredictability of life during the pandemic continues would be an eye-rolling understatement. At least during quarantine we could make plans, plans that hopefully did not involve the mass hoarding of toilet paper. With the reopening, the advent of coronavirus vaccines, the willful avoidance of those vaccines by the same people who probably don’t wash their hands after using public restrooms, and the emergence of the delta variant, every week has been filled with the sense of taking two steps forward and one step back.

Throughout this crisis, So Say We All has heeded the advice of public health officials and local government leadership above the myriad of differing opinions voiced so casually on social media. We believe medical experts know more than us, that science is ever-evolving as new information is acquired, and individual responsibility paired with regard for the common good is the key to restoring our societal well-being.

We also acknowledge that the privilege of working from home is not afforded to all members of our community, and we support our responsible venue partners--and their employees who have experienced economic hardships throughout the quarantine--in their resumption of responsible business.

It is for these reasons we have decided to resume limited public performance programming. We implore our audience members, artists, and supporters to get vaccinated and take all personal precautions as recommended by State health officials, and that those who choose to do otherwise not attend our in-person shows or classes. While we’re handing out maxims: be kind to customer service people. Hell, be kind to everyone. WASH YOUR HANDS.

We are incredibly grateful for the generous support our community has shown us throughout this ordeal. We are proud to know and serve such empathetic and caring people. Your emotional and physical well-being are our priority, and by our powers combined, we will celebrate the end of this pandemic in good health. We love you!

So Say We All,

- Justin Hudnall, Executive Director.
