The 2024 / 2025 Veteran Writers Division
Updated August 21st 2024: So Say We All is proud to announce it’s Veteran Writers Division offerings through the fall of 2024 and spring 2025! We’ll be adding new performance and education opportunities throughout, but we didn’t want to wait to let you know what’s on our books so you can get them on yours.
First up, veterans and active duty service members can sign up for any one of our three writing workshops happening in San Diego in September, October, and November for free! And if you’re not able to attend in person, fret not: we’ll be making the class videos available on our Youtube channel for you to watch at your leisure on your own time.
Second, we’re offering a very special generative writing workshop just for veterans, military family members, State Dept. officials, and interpreters that is designed specifically to help you figure out what story you want to tell and how to going about telling it. We deeply hope you join us no matter where in the country or world you might be joining us from, and anyone who does will be primed to move on to the next stage of publishing and performance.
And the first storytelling showcase the Veteran Writers Division will take the stage at is happening on Saturday, March 8th in San Diego. All participants will workshop their true stories together as a cohort, giving and receiving feedback, receiving 1-1 writing coaching, and performance coaching to ensure you have the best experience possible, and require no prior experience to have a great time. Veterans, active duty service members, military family members, interpreters, and State Dept. officials who deployed abroad are all welcome. All offerings are once again completely free to participants.
