This July, we celebrate those times when we had to stifle our laughter in the face of others who would frown upon us. When you’d be seen as cruel if you laughed at the kid falling off the bike. When you couldn’t laugh at the very earnest speech being given by the boss. Whether it was an ill-timed text, a nervous reaction at a funeral, a punishment doled out from a parent for something you KNOW was pretty classic, those moments linger in our memories to make us smile — even if we know they were kind of not supposed to be funny. Share those stories this month, and watch the sparks fly!
At Long Story Short, tell your story without notes in five minutes or less, in a fun environment with no pressure. Anyone can throw their name into our hat and be called upon randomly to share their story. Or you can just watch! Long Story Short follows the idea of a campfire, where we tell tales, bond and make friends, and pass the talking stick (ok, you come up to the microphone). Take Your Turn!
